Terms of service
In short
These terms apply to everyone who uses the InstaForge dashboard. The business you work for, or that invited you, also has its own agreement with InstaForge. If that agreement says something different, it takes priority.

The service
InstaForge lets businesses build and run automated assistants for their Instagram accounts: answering messages and comments, booking appointments, taking deposits, collecting requests and scheduling posts. InstaForge provides it to businesses under a separate agreement that covers the price and the scope.
Accounts
- Accounts are created by invitation. Keep your password private, and use two-step sign-in where you can.
- You are responsible for what is done with your account. Tell an admin or us straight away if you think someone else used it.
- Admins decide what each person can see and do, and which businesses they can work on.
What the business is responsible for
- The information its assistant gives: prices, opening hours, policies and the rest of its knowledge base. Keep it accurate and up to date.
- Following the law where it operates, including consumer protection, privacy and marketing rules, and Meta's terms and policies for Instagram.
- Its own customers: answering their privacy requests, and having a legal basis for what it asks the assistant to collect. Each assistant comes with a privacy page the business can use and link to.
- The terms of any service it connects with its own account or keys, such as an AI provider, Stripe or Google.
Artificial intelligence
- The assistants write replies with AI models from third-party providers. AI can be wrong, can misunderstand, and can sound sure when it is not. Answers the business must get exactly right (prices, refunds, medical or legal details) belong in the knowledge base as fixed answers, and the business should check conversations regularly.
- Each assistant tells people at the start of a conversation that it is an automated assistant using AI, and acting for which business. This notice is required by law in many places and by the AI providers. Its wording can be changed, but it must not be removed, hidden or made misleading, and an assistant must never claim to be a person.
- People must always be able to reach a person. Do not use an assistant to make decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on someone, or to give medical, legal or financial advice that is relied on without a professional checking it.
- AI-drafted post captions and replies are suggestions. Whoever publishes or sends them is responsible for them.
- Each AI provider has its own usage policy, which applies to what is sent to it. Where a business chooses a provider that may use data to improve its models (for example DeepSeek, or Google's free tier), it does so at its own responsibility.
- We do not use businesses' or their customers' data to train AI models.
Acceptable use
Do not use InstaForge to:
- send spam, or messages Instagram's rules do not allow;
- deceive people, impersonate someone, or hide that messages are automated;
- collect data you have no right to collect, or target children;
- share anything illegal, hateful, harassing or that infringes someone else's rights;
- try to get around the platform's limits or security, or test its security without our written permission;
- copy, resell or reverse engineer the platform.
Other services
InstaForge relies on Instagram, AI providers and other services that we do not control. If one of them changes its rules, limits an account or stops working, some features may be affected. We are not responsible for those services or their decisions.
Payments and deposits
Deposits are paid through the business's own Stripe account, straight to the business. InstaForge never holds that money. Refunds are the business's decision. What a business pays for InstaForge itself is set in its agreement with InstaForge.
Data protection
We process the personal data of the business's customers on the business's behalf and only to provide the service, as described in our privacy policy. A data processing agreement is part of, or can be added to, the business's agreement with InstaForge.
Content and ownership
The business owns the content it adds (its knowledge base, messages, images and settings) and gives us the rights we need to run the service with it. InstaForge itself, its software and design, belong to InstaForge and its licensors. Suggestions you give us may be used freely to improve the service.
Availability and changes
We work to keep InstaForge available and secure, but we cannot promise it will never be interrupted or free of errors. We may change, add or remove features. If a change significantly reduces what a business relies on, we tell it in advance where we reasonably can.
Suspension and ending
We may suspend an account or an assistant that breaks these terms, puts others at risk, or is required to stop by law or by Instagram. Where possible, we tell the business first and give it a chance to fix the problem. When a business stops using InstaForge, it can ask for an export of its data within 30 days, after which the data is deleted.
Liability
InstaForge is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, InstaForge is not liable for indirect losses, lost profit or lost data, or for what AI-written replies say. Its total liability is limited to what the business paid for InstaForge in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the country where InstaForge is established, and its courts have jurisdiction, unless the law where you live gives you rights that cannot be taken away.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change is significant, we tell the businesses that use InstaForge before it takes effect. Continuing to use InstaForge after that means you accept the new terms.
